San Francisco, California - 14 April 2016 - Athena, GoPro distributor for Italy and Malta, announces the innovative GET Data Music, one of the first add-on devices for GoPro cameras which allows the synchronization of data and music with videos, minimizing the need for sophisticated post production systems.
“With GET Data Music, Athena takes on a brand new challenge”, states Michele Mancassola, Marketing Manager of the Italian company. “Thanks to the skills and experience gained by the R&D department of our GET electronics division, we are able to develop and launch the innovative Data Music, a product which allows Athena to go straight onto the Consumer Electronics market. We are delighted to be part of the first group of developers to have access to the GoPro Developer Program tools and to offer end users an innovative addition to their GoPro cameras.”
“We are excited to see companies like Athena use our GoPro Developer Program toolkits to enable better enhanced user experiences with GoPro cameras”, said Adam Silver, director of strategic product partnerships at GoPro.
GET Data Music is a device developed by a team of Italian engineers with proven experience in the development of engine control units for motorcycling competitions. GET Data Music allows music and data from external sensors to be synchronized with GoPro videos via Bluetooth. The system is activated using the GET On app, available for iOS (iPhone 5S and later) and Android, which transfers data recorded by the smartphone and other BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) sensors to the video.
Parameters such as heart rate, soundtrack, circuit route, altimeter and speed are just a few of the options that can be selected and which are then displayed on the GoPro video using the free GET On Studio software.
